Wattstax (1973), a cult film!

We have recently enjoyed the big screen magic of the 1972 concert film Wattstax.

With revolution in the air, and mounted to celebrate the '65 Watts riots, this blindingly brilliant concert film is a who's who of the black music scene circa 1972. Featuring powerhouse performances by Isaac Hayes, the Bar Kays, Rufus Thomas, Albert King and MC-d by Richard Prior at the height of his comic powers, this is an electrifying document of the civil rights movement. Social justice has never felt so good.

MSF Médecin Sans Frontière

I have discovered this film few months ago on YouTube. This 40 seconds film has moved me like very few films were able to do it. It is a remarkable film, powerful, disturbing, moving and inviting us to reflect on the mothers of Africa.

A Conversation with Catherine Deneuve

Never miss an opportunity! we did not...we were contacted by Unifrance and French Alliance of Melbourne to film in exclusivity the great French actress Miss Catherine Deneuve during her stay in Australia. For a bunch of film passionates like us, it has been a treat. Catherine Deneuve talked about her experience with film directors like Luis Bunuel. Jacques Demy, Andre Techine and Lars Von Triers.

This is a short extract of her interview with a panel of Australian journalists led by Tom Ryan from The Sunday Age.
